How do I add a picture (avatar) below my username?
- Register to a free image host, such as https://www.photobucket.com
- Now upload your image (avatar) to your image host
- They'll then give you the address to the image, looking something like this http://webhost.com/folder/avatar.jpg
- Go to your User Control Panel > Profile > Edit Avatar and copy and paste the image address into the box at the bottom labelled “Link off-site” and then click Submit
- Note: Avatars must be no larger than 100 in width by 150 in height

- To start a new topic, click the New Topic link in the board you want to start the topic in.
- To reply to an existing topic, click the Reply link.
Why hasn't my post count gone up when I've posted in certain boards?
Posts in the Games board are not counted because the threads and posts in this board do not contribute to the forum. This is to prevent people spamming.
What is hotlinking?
Hotlinking is directly linking to an image you do not have permission to use. You MUST only use images that you have hosted on your own webspace or have permission to use from someone else. If you do not keep to this rule, the offending image will be removed and further measures may be taken.
How do I prevent my username from appearing in the online user listings?
In your profile you will find an option Hide your online status; if you switch this on you'll only appear to the administrator and moderators or to yourself. You will be counted as a hidden user.
How do I change my rank/tagline?
You cannot directly change the wording of any rank (ranks appear below your username in topics and on your profile depending on the style used). Most boards use ranks to indicate the number of posts you have made and to identify certain users. For example, moderators and administrators may have a special rank. Please do not abuse the board by posting unnecessarily just to increase your ranking. You will probably find the moderator or administrator will simply lower your post count. This is known as spamming.

There are a number of reasons:
- The site hosting the images has restricted you from direct linking to them
- You typed the wrong address to your avatar and banner in your Profile.
- Your image is not a valid file format, this forum only allows .GIF, .JPG and .PNG
- Your image host is currently not working, but the image should be up shortly
- You did not upload the image to your host, if this is the case try uploading it again
What programs do I need to make graphics and where can I get them from?
- You can use the following programs to make graphics, there are many others but these are the main two ones:
Adobe Photoshop CS Trial, Paint Shop Pro X Trial
How do I animate or flash my images?
You need to download an animation program. Adobe PhotoShop usually already comes with this. If you are using Paint Shop Pro, you can to download Animation Shop.
I'm no good at making banners can you help?
Practice makes perfect. You'll eventually get the hang of it, nobody can teach you how to make good banners as everyone does it in their own way. However tutorials can help you a lot, search Google to find some.
What program can I make a video or slide show with?
You can use Windows Movie Maker 2 which is free for download from Windows Update, found in your Start Menu.
